About Braemar
The Braemar Story
Riverside Braemar, a unique residential housing cooperative, was incorporated in 1957. Our cooperative/member status offers members the
right to occupy a residential unit. For tax purposes, the State of California and County of Riverside consider members to be homeowners rather than renters. We have a relatively low turnover rate primarily because members are committed to the cooperative community concept and tend to stay.
There is an active sense of shared responsibility
and an effort toward congenial community living, including social events.
Riverside Braemar has 90 units, varying from 1 to 2 bedrooms. The typical size is 2 bedrooms with 1 bath, about 850 square feet, plus a balcony or patio and an assigned carport. Most units are in the $50,000 to $65,000 range, with monthly fees of between $400 and $500. Braemar accepts payment in full at the time a membership is purchased--no mortgages are permitted.
Riverside Braemar does not discriminate in the selection of members on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, familial status, marital status, disability, national origin, ancestry, sexual orientation, or source of income.
